2015 Peugeot 508 Facelift Gets Confirmed Prices For Malaysia: From RM174k to RM202k
Panduan PembeliHaving officially, and technically, launched their new Peugeot 508 facelift range back in May, it looks like Nasim Sdn Bhd (official distributors of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia) has finally confirmed prices for their latest D-segment family sedan.
Here’s how the new prices look, based on Peugeot’s local website, which has recently dropped the “estimated” descriptions, and display new figures (OTR with insurance):
- Peugeot 508 1.6 THP: RM173,888 (formerly RM169,888 a.k.a. 508 Premium)
- Peugeot 508 SW 1.6 THP: RM183,888 (formerly RM179,888)
- Peugeot 508 GT: RM201,888 (formerly RM199,888)
The confirmed prices aren’t all that far apart from their previous estimates (RM175k, RM185k and RM205k), so buyers who’ve placed their bookings aren’t in for too much of a surprise.
And to give you a bit of a recap of what we last saw at launch, the new 508 range features a very new and updated exterior design (largely at the front end), has adopted some new tech (touchscreen head unit, amongst others) and has dropped the availability of a diesel-powered wagon version (no more 508 SW GT).
Only one diesel variant remains (508 GT), and it fits in the range as the model’s range-topper. However, features and equipment differ only slightly from one variant to another: in short, they’re all very generously feature-packed.
The only differences between the three 508 variants are their powertrains and body styles. The base sedan and only wagon are powered by an updated 1.6-litre THP (turbo high-pressure) engine, while the 2.2-litre HDi engine is reserved just for the GT.
