2015 Lotus Elise GREAT Britain And Exige S Automatic Launched In Malaysia

Lotus Cars Malaysia, in conjunction with the GREAT Britain marketing campaign, have launched a special limited edition model made specifically for the Malaysian market known as the Lotus Elise GREAT Britain with a price tag of RM254,888.

Based on the recently introduced Elise 20^th Anniversary, the car comes equipped with as per the standard car but with additional options exclusive to our market. On the visual front, the Elise GREAT Britain features a soft top and is easily identified by the Union Jack decals on the side intake. These are accompanied by the Black Style Pack that tags on matte black wheels and rear diffuser. Three body colours are available to choose from - Metallic Silver, Metallic White and Metallic Yellow.

On the performance front, the GREAT Britain edition includes the “Sport Pack” that equips the roadster with lightweight forged wheels, lightweight center console, lightweight black cloth trimmed sport seats and Bilstein sport dampers. Also included is a Sport Mode button which increases throttle response and alters the traction slip thresholds allowing the driver enhanced control before the system intervenes.

Powering the lightweight Elise GREAT Britain will still be a Toyota-sourced 1.8-litre supercharged four-cylinder engine developing 217hp and 250Nm of torque and is capable of propelling the 924kg roadster to 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.2 seconds with a 233km/h top speed.

The first three lucky customers to purchase the Elise GREAT Britain will receive a complimentary Touring Pack which swaps out the seats for Ebony Black leather sport seats.

Along with the introduction of this limited edition model, Lotus Cars Malaysia has also opened the order books for the Lotus Exige S Automatic. The self-shifting Exige S features a 3.5-litre V6 engine developing 345hp and 400Nm of torque, and is mentioned by Lotus to be quicker than the manual by 0.1 seconds in the century sprint, achieving it in just 3.8 seconds.

The Exige S Automatic is will be on display in roadster form at the North Atrium of the Gardens Mall beginning tomorrow (5 August) till 9 August 2015, from 10am - 10pm. Enthusiasts will also be able to view the Evora S Sport Racer and Elise 220 Cup which will also be put up on display.

Interested customers will also receive special promotions at the roadshow which includes 3 years warranty, 2 years free service, one time experience at the Lotus Driving Academy, glass coating and automatic membership to the Lotus Owners Club Members (LOCM). Complimentary insurance and road tax will also be provided, subject to terms and conditions.
